Day... 2?

How long have I been here again? I think *technically* two days.
Wow. Already.

I haven't done a thing on my list of things to do. . . I have to come up with a project idea in, 10 hours (oh, and sleep). . .
However - I have gone to the pub and had a smashing cider :-D          It's all about the priorities. . .

Actually I think as a group we're all still trying to get to know each other more, and figure out what everyone wants out of this so we don't drive each other nuts. At least, thats what I'm trying to do.

We got to meet a  constable today who lectured us on using our common sense and not getting ourselves into trouble. He also gave us really really loud alarm like thingies that we can activate to scare someone trying to hurt us. Wasn't that kind?
He also showed us his "lid".
It's so cool, now i want one.
I didn't realize that the most dangerous things that the police carry are asps (batons) and pepper spray. I don't know that I feel safe with that.

Other than that, today we went looking for a very 'traditional' pub Bossen told us about- found it- found out it was full- and walked back to the dorm. ~sigh~ Two other students and myself decided to give British chicken kebobs a try. They don't come on sticks. And the Coke they sell there is from Russia. Go figure.
And yes, more 'chips'. The amount of fried food here puts McDonalds to shame. How these people stay slim is beyond my ability to understand.
Even the pita they wrapped the meat in was fried!

I'm heading to bed though since its midnight here and I want to get up early and actually go shoot something in the morning. Apparently there's a cool cemetery-like place around the corner. I want to check it out and maybe it can become my project. Then after class I think I want to head down to the river area and hit all the big, famous sites.

I hope the weather is decent for you guys down(? over? up?) there. It's actually kinda cold here, and its been drizzling all day. However, it does explain the nice comforter they gave us in the rooms!
